What I'm Doing Now

Updated March 26th, 2026 from the home office in Haugesund.

At the end of January I wrapped-up at Doist so I'm the lookout for new opportunities. šŸ‘€ It’s wild how different the job market is compared to just a few years ago. AI expectations are everywhere and headcounts don’t seem to be expanding - teams are looking for more leverage per head.

This time around I’m also looking at opportunities closer to home, whether remote with a Norwegian company or a local outfit in Haugesund.

Either way, I feel well positioned and have had some great conversations already. Looking forward to seeing where I land!

DeepCut

(Speaking of AI everywhere šŸ˜‚) To get a better grip on agentic dev workflows I've kicked off work on my first native iOS app: DeepCut! It’s a ā€œGoodReads for vinylā€; a way to share notes and music discoveries with friends. I wrote about the origins of the idea here.

OpenClaw & LLMs

As I'm sure a lot of y'all are experiencing, there's a seemingly never-ending stream of new tools, workflows, and "best practices" on how to adopt AI in our day-to-day work.

I’ve generally been pretty careful about shiny object syndrome, but one tool that’s captured my imagination was OpenClaw so I’ve been tinkering with that for the past few months.

OpenClaw is a free, open-source autonomous AI agent that acts as a personal assistant, running locally on your computer to automate tasks like managing calendars, clearing inboxes, and running shell commands.

I’ll write more about this one in a new blog post soon. TL;DR: the hype was justified I’d say, but with recent moves by Claude in their desktop app I’m not sure OpenClaw offers much unique value for me.

Tinkering

I’ve been really drawn to tinkering with electronics these days. Over the last few months I’ve been refurbishing a vintage Music Man amp - super happy with the result!

I’ve also dipped my toes into the world of DIY effects pedal building, with a kit from MAS Effects. A great crash course in soldering, schematics, and patience. 🧘
